I’m a British-Irish-Indian freelance writer and journalist. In 2011 I moved to Beirut, where I was based for eight years. In 2019, I spent six months reporting from Latin America. I have contributed to publications including The Economist, 1843 Magazine, Al Jazeera English, BBC Culture, The National, The Daily Star Lebanon, Monocle Magazine and Revolver Magazine, among others. In February 2016 I was one of three winners of the Anna Lindh Mediterranean Journalist Award for intercultural reporting. You can reach me at indiastoughton at gmail dot com.
I discovered your blog via 1846. Love your witty informative posts.
Curious; how did you come to be named after a country, India?
Cheers!
